Wow, that's too bad! It's good you saw through that kind of dogma and insanity.

I feel pretty lucky, I was raised in a primarily secular environment. It is nice to not have to worry about family being up in arms about your beliefs! I don't think I could ever be with family or a significant other who was not at least 'non-religious', especially now that I'm getting older and I know what I want!
