Hi, I joined a while ago but I'm shy.

I'm Anna. I was always an atheist but I didn't know it until I was 14 and I didn't come out until after I left home at 19; my parents are very, very religious Catholics.

Growing up, my social life really centred around the church. I think atheists kind of miss out on that sense of community. I thought about joining the Unitarians like my sister did (two of my three siblings are also atheists) but the truth is I'm really not that tolerant of other religions. They all seem equally silly to me.

Hi there! Sorry I'm late responding, I just started getting into this! I also have a very low tolerance for religions... there are SOOOO many other ways to meet people, don't think you have to go to church! I hope I'm not too late! lol.

Yes, Unitarians can get very silly, indeed. They're not traditional Xtians, that's good, but the ones that I've known are into everything from witch craft to pyramid worship. As if they're any less ludicrous.
