Douglas,

Unfortunately, I am lacking in the history of the freethought movement in Minnesota. I can only speak about the people I've talked to about it.

What I should have done is clarified to reflect the contributions of founding and current members, Shirley, Steve, and August. - BjornW

Surely it was an oversight not to have also mentioned the pioneering efforts of Marie Castle, along with those of Shirley, Steve and August, especially in the "early days" when U.S. nonbelievers had few defenders and fewer places to which to turn for support. - Douglas A.
How I agree with Bjorn. There is an atmosphere of negativism out there which is political in nature. Thank the likes of chat show hosts. This does not in anyway absolve us from doing or undertaking what Bjorn has written. We should at most times in our waking days be positive as we go about living. We are alive and breathing, therefore we should be positive. - Paul Cocoanto
