I suppose it could... If anyone who worked at the hotel ever looked in their bibles to see anything... I found a condom in the first one that I think had been there since the 1970's, so it's not likely they're looked into much.

No, totally get it, we thought of that as well.

I figure, like I said, by the time anyone notices, they'll never know exactly who did it unless they stumble upon my MySpace page...

Plus, I don't think anyone ever seriously opens a bible in a hotel, and anyone who would be that serious would probably be carrying their own.

It was REALLY fun though!!! It was truly a rush!

A good idea might be to put in a post card with "interesting" Bible verses that the potential reader may not have noticed before. Once people start down the road of apologizing for horrible morals in the Bible, it's just a few more miles down the road until reason sets in.

I love the idea of stickers, this one being the best I've seen yet.


Bibles placed in hotels are a 'gift' of Gideons International. I only wish I had the resources to place a copy of the book Atheist Universe by David Mills next to the Gideon Bible in every hotel in the US. But something tells me a vast majority would end up atop a pyre worthy of a Viking funeral.

Personally, I like to autograph hotel bibles.
