Atheist to Offer Parenting Seminars

Dale McGowan, author/editor of, Parenting Beyond Belief: On Raising Ethical, Caring Kids Without Religion, is introducing a seminar tour and five seminars online for parents and others interested in topics about raising children without religion.

  • Secular Family, Religious World, which helps kids deal with the religions that are all around them and becoem religously literate without indocterination. 
  • The Religious Extended Family tries to turn the diversity of living with a religious extended family into a benefit rather then raising problems.
  • The Art of the Question seeks to take advantage of the moment of the question and turn it into a great oppourtunity for wonder and fearless inquiry. 
  • Raising Naturaly Ethical Kids tackles a big problem parents may face by differentiating commandments and principles and getting kids involved in their own moral development.
  • Death and Life offers ways to discuss the difficult reality of life and death.  Death, when dealt with rationally, can be turned from an event to fear into a celebration of the life we live today. 
 
The Seminars are $18 each, and are attended online.  Each class is held twice in a week, once class featured week on Sunday and Tuesday at noon and 9 PM, respectively.  For more information, and how to register, visit Parenting Beyong Belief.
