All Dogs Go to Heaven

Gary Kurz, author of Cold Noses at the Pearly Gates, says, “We can replace the grief [of the loss of a pet] with joyful anticipation and hope, if we understand that there is a plan for [dogs].”  He uses research and the Bible to prove that there is an afterlife for companion animals.  Here is a perfect example of someone wanting something to exist, and using theology to ease the minds of followers.  Death is reality, and no fairytale can change it.  As atheists, how do you deal with loss of a pet?  From the New Humanist Blog
